Happy Halloween

We all had a great Halloween this year.  Hector and I went to a costume party.  We were Peace and Quiet and we rocked the costumes.  The girls had so many fun party's.  They went to the school Fall Festival with Hector, Grandma and Grandpa.  They also had the Girl Scouts Trunk or Treat and Party and then we had the church Fall Party.  Estelle also had a Halloween Ho-down at school on Halloween.  They had already collected more candy than they ever needed before Halloween ever happened.  We went Trick or Treating down with Hector's family on actual Halloween.  We all had a nice time.  The girl's had fun scaring people and passing out candy to the trick or treaters.  Estelle was the best candy passer outer - she handed out the candy to everyone that came by.  She loved it.

Pumpkin carving

We carved our free pumpkins from Cox farms.  The girls really wanted to do it this year.  I didn't get pictures of the finished products, but we had fun and then they sat in front of our house until Halloween.

Weekend Kayaking, hiking and picnicking

We got in some Fall time kayaking, picnicking and hiking.  The girls always complain when we tell them we are hiking, but then they always end up loving it and tell us how happy they are we went.  The cold weather blew in last week, so we may be done with these activities for awhile.

Grandma in the Hospital

Grandma got to spend the night in the hospital (she is fine...kidney stones), and we went to visit her.  I am so glad that we are close to family and that my girls have such a good relationship with their Grandma.

Cox Farm

I'm not going to lie, I am kind of over Cox Farms.  We have gone every year since I can remember.  Our kids still love it, but it is the same every year.  Hector's work does a day were we can go for free.  I think the people that pay $20.00 per person are crazy, but since it is free for us I don't mind going.  The girls had a great time and the weather was perfect.

Senior Night

Senior night is another fun volleyball event.  We had a great time recognizing our amazing Seniors, we played a fantastic match of volleyball and enjoyed a big fat cake that I made.  We had a crazy shirt day at practice leading up to Senior night.

Fancy Day

Hector was gone one weekend so we decided to have a fancy girl day (grandma had sent us a box of sugar treats for a tea party).  After we got our craft on at Home Depot, we headed home and each girl had one friend over.  We dressed up fancy and used the fancy cups and dishes and enjoyed all our treats.  They girls loved it and we all had a great time.

Dig Pink

Dig Pink is another one of my kids' favorite events.  This year they all got matching dig pink shirts and they loved that they were twins with all the volleyball girls.  Estelle won one of the raffle prizes that we had during the event.  It is a big stuffed animal pillow...she loves it and was really proud of herself for winning the raffle.

Homecoming Parade

My kids love that I coach volleyball because they get all the perks.  One of their favorite activities is the Homecoming parade.  They have old uniforms that they wear and they ride in the back of the truck with the Varsity kids and throw candy.  They think they are so cool.
