Cox Farms

Hector took the girls to Cox Farm last month.  It was a last minute decision.  We have taken the girls every year and they love it and look forward to it.  The last couple of years Hector's work has done a family day there so we have gone for free.  This year his work did it on a Sunday, so we didn't go.  The girls were understanding and it was a good opportunity to teach them about the Sabbath Day.  They had come to grips with not going this year, so they were excited to be able to go another day.  Hector picked them up early from school and met up with some friends.

Hector is such a great dad and the girls love hanging out with him.

Halloween

The girls love Halloween!  Me, not my favorite, but I love to see them have fun.  We had way to many candy collecting opportunities for the girls own good.  We had the ward chili cook off and trunk or treat.  Hector regreted being a chili judge, but the girls loved trunk or treating.

Hector took the girls to the School Fall Festival.  Hector takes them every year.  It is another oportunity for the girls to dress up (which they love) and it is fun for them.  I always have volleyball that night.

The did a Girl Scout trunk or treat and then actual Halloween.  Hector took the girls down to Grandma and Grandpa's house for trick or treating.  It sounds like they had a great time.  The girls all had their own ideas about costumes this year.  Estelle was Super Girl at all the Halloween activities and then a tiger on actual Halloween.  Sienna was Wolverine and then Captain America.  Natalia was a lady bug and then a Zombie for trick or treating.  She really wanted to be a Zombie.  I guess she is getting bigger, because there is no way she would have wanted to be a Zombie in the past.

Date with Stellie

Estelle and I went on a Mommy Daughter date a couple weeks ago.  She picked to go to the Trampoline park and then out to Sushi.  I was surprised that she picked Sushi, but she was very insistent on it.  Haha, she loves seaweed salad, but when the sushi came she remembered that she didn't really like it.  I had to pick out the parts she did like for her.  Silly girl.  We had a great time!

Volleyball Region Champions!

My volleyball team kept the fun going by winning the Region Championship this year as well.  It is the first time we have won Volleyball Regionals in the school history (volleyball only started here in 1999).  We also advanced to the final 8 in the State.  Unfortunalely we lost in the State Quarter Finals for a season finish of 5th in Virginia State.  It was sad to lose, but it was a great season filled with many accomplishments and great memories.

One of the best things about Regional week was having my dad come out.  He has helped me with volleyball camp for several years, so he knows all my girls, but he never gets to see them play during the season.  The timing worked out and my team was so excited to have him there.  He got to see us win the Quarter, Semi and Championship matches.  It made the week really special.

My Seniors! (Sydney Trotto, Rachel Stephens, Nicole Williamson, Sara Khatouri, Isabel Tashima)

The only picture with Dad in it, evidence he was here this week.

Region week team breakfast is Natalia, Sienna and Estelle's favorite day of volleyball.  They love having the girls over to our house.

Volleyball District Champions

My Volleyball Girls won the District Championship for the third year in a row.  It was so exciting.  Our goal all season long has been to three-peat and it was so fun to see our goal fulfilled.  We have always had a competitive district, but the State restructured our districts for this year and our district become even tougher.  We had to fight every night; there were not any easy wins teams, so it made our victory that much more exciting.

We have the best fans.  So many students came out to support the team, but my favorite fans are my family.  Hector and the girls come to most of the home games and all the playoff matches.  My kids have been up late most nights for the past couple of weeks, but it is worth having them there.  Sometimes I wonder if they are into it or not.  Then I get glimpses into them from the lens of our team pictures.

I love Natalia in the back ground of this next picture.  She is totally into cheering for our team.  That looks like a real fan to me.

And then as the night goes on and it gets late, this is what my little fans turn into.  Look at Estelle in the background.  Do you think we keep her up late to frequently?
