Working Hard

Hector stayed busy this last week working in the back yard.  The weather has been beautiful, so we all wanted to be outside anyway.  The girls and I have been spending lots of time at the parks and they are both so happy because of it.  Hector has been working on the stairs and patio in the back yard everyday after work and on Saturday.  It is looking really good.  I will post pictures when he finishes.  Natalia is a really good helper.  She asks everyday, "Is it time to work on the patio yet?"  She also really loves the hose.  She waters everything in the back yard, including her sister.   She also loves to be sprayed by the hose. Saturday, I was watering the berries and she would run through the spray of the hose and then just laugh and laugh.  I basically stopped watering the berries and just sprayed her and we did this for an hour.  She was soaked but happy.  Sienna just watched us and thought it was all rather hilarious.

Sienna loves the sand box.  She will play in it for hours and she does not eat that much of it anymore...so that is a real plus.  Every time I would turn my back on her she was crawling over to Hector and trying to mess up his project.  She also decided that she finally wanted to walk this weekend.  She walked across the living room three weeks ago, but has utterly refused to do it since.  That is until Saturday.  Saturday was the first day that I could actually call her a walker.  She is not good at it yet, but she was doing it on her own.  I love the beginning walking phase because kids are so wobbly.  Needless to say...Sienna is really cute.

This captures the old patio.  It has been good to us, but since we inherited new patio bricks...it was time for an upgrade.
Sunday Evening we let Natalia watch a Conference talk with us.  She went downstairs and got all her babies ready to watch.  She was so funny.  She would tell Hector and I, "We need to be quiet, the babies are watching conference."  Natalia is doing great.  She is a silly little girl with fun ideas.

What a Great Giggle

Natalia and I were spinning in circles the other day while Sienna was finishing a snack.  I accidentally bumped into the wall and Sienna thought it was so funny.  She was laughing so hard I thought she might make herself pass out.  Natalia thought it was funny how hard Sienna was laughing so she begged me to do it again.  Needless to say, I proceeded to spin and "accidentally" bump into the wall.  Sienna and Natalia would bust up every time.  Later when Hector came home from work we reenacted the wall bumping and Sienna still thought it was about the funniest thing she had ever seen.

Painting, Teeth, Jeans, and everything Silly

My little ladies have been into all kinds of fun lately.  We got out the finger paints the other and I let both girls have at it.  Natalia loved it, she would have painted pictures all day if I would have let her.  Sienna loved to eat the paint, so naturally her painting experience was cut rather short, but thankfully she thought playing with the paint bottles was fun.

We have been trying to get Sienna to do more walking for the past couple of weeks.  She is fighting with all of her might, but she did humor Natalia the other day when Natalia offered to help her.  It was really cute.  Natalia held her hand she walked from the dinning room to the stairs.  Since then...no walking.  It seams to make her really mad when we try to encourage it.  She may just be cranky because of the teeth.  Sienna has broke four molars in the past couple weeks and she has been a little off her game because of it.  Yet even when she is cranky, she is still darn stinking cute.  She has the funniest giggle and the craziest hair.  About a week ago she decided that she no longer likes to have ponytails in her hair.  She pulls it out as soon as I put one in.  Now her hair always looks messy again.  Maybe this is normal.  How would I know.

But Sienna's silliness does not stop there.  She really likes jeans.  She does not really like to wear them, but rather, she likes to play with them, hold them and snuggle with them... and on some occasions sport them as a hat. (watch out fedoras, the jean shorts may take over the trendy hat market).  We put the shorts on her head just joking around, but she really liked it.  She would take them off and then put them back on herself.  She would cry if she could not get them on her head but as soon as we helped her she was happy agian.
