Little Cranky Head

Natalia was so cranky last night. She was cranky in the afternoon, but went about her normal bedtime routine. Then at 1:30 in the morning she started screaming. After listening to her scream for awhile, I got up, fed her, and changed her. Then I put her back to bed. She continued to scream for the next half hour. I got up again to check on her. I could not figure out why she was having such a hard time. I ended up listening to her until 3:00 in the morning (not sure if she stopped screaming then, or if I was able to fall asleep to her lovely noise making). So why was she is such a mood? Mystery solved...Natalia has cut her top teeth. The first one broke the skin last night and the second one appears to be just moments away from daylight. Hopefully she will not scream as much with the next one. Last night was not my best night.

Nine months and counting

Natalia and I went to the doctor yesterday. She is as healthy as any parent could ask for. Apparently she has perfect ears. Natalia was checked by a resident and a doctor and they both commented on how textbook her ears were. Who knew! They also both asked if she was a C-section baby because of how perfectly round her head is. The best part of the trip to the doctor was when Natalia went pee pee all over the weight scale. I only had that diaper off thirty seconds, but that was all it took to cover (literally) the entire scale. She weights 19 pounds and is 28 and a half inches tall. She is growing so fast. She really learned how to play patty cake this week. It is very cute to watch her get really excited as she claps her hands together while I sing.
