Estelle got to do a hike with her girl scout troop. She was really cute and had fun with her friends. I love that the girls are all into nature and being outdoors. Even though lately it feels like I have to force them out. They all want to snuggle up and read on their free breaks from school.

Fall Fun
We have been busy this Fall, which feels so much more normal than our "no activities" Spring we had. Estelle has been playing soccer twice a week. She is loving it. I have been coaching a rec volleyball team for Natalia. It is different for me to be coaching a bunch of 6th graders since I am used to a higher level, but it has been really fun. We have to play outdoors on the grass, so that has been a different challenge as well. Sienna finally got cleared to play sports again after the broken arm. It was too late to sign her up for any sports, so I organized a basketball practice once a week with her friends. We meet at the school outdoor courts every Wednesday and it is really fun to play basketball and see friends.
I have been doing outdoor activities with my Young Women's group every week as well. They are such a great group of girls. I also started doing volleyball workouts with my high school kids twice a week. We have really strict Covid rules at the high school, so it has been interesting trying to plan the most effective volleyball workout on a football field without a net and only two kids to every one volleyball. No touching and maintaining 6 feet distance the whole time. But it is great to be back with my athletes in some capacity. So, as you can see, our weeknights are back to being busy...just the way we like it.
On the weekends we have been playing some pickleball and enjoying friends. Natalia made a new friend and they spent a day baking together. We even found time to visit our favorite obstacle course park and do some golfing with Grandpa! ...and Hector and the girls have been doing LOTS of Lego building.
Back to School...at home
Well, it seems I have not blogged in a bit. We are busy with back to school, but it is all at home. The girls were not very excited about doing virtual school again, even though it went well in the Spring.
They love school and have missed seeing their teachers and friends. Even though virtual school is not what they wanted, they jumped right in to the new schedules and school organization and it has gone really well. The school has done a great job and their teachers are fantastic. They are learning and thriving and enjoying the experience. There are some perks...the obnocious kids are always muted, so they don't have to listen to interruptions so often. There is more flexibilty and free time to work on interests and hobbies. And they are involved in more after school activities compared with the spring when nothing was happening, so they are getting time with friends.
We even did back to school hair cuts. Estelle really wanted front bags...she has been asking for awhile. She loves them so much. Haha, that girl knows what she likes. And she looks even more like Grandma now...she loves that too.
