House updates

Here are a couple of progress pictures. Stephanie and I have been putting in some good old elbow grease. This weekend we continued to work on the house. Little by little it is starting to look like a house again. Well we hope all are doing great.

Today we spent the day working on the house. I placed that cabinet you see above the dryer, it was a little difficult to place because of the block wall behind it. But I managed, and now we have a place to store laundry detergent etc. The best part of it is that we bought it at a place called Community Forklift, where you can find great household items for way cheap. You also are seeing our new washer and dryer. I wish I could say they were easy to install, you know plug in and you're done. Well not the case at our place. The washer was easier than the dryer, it only required me replacing the outlet and connecting all the hoses. The dryer was a little more difficult. Once I connected everything and went to plug it in I realized that the original outlet was out dated and did not fit the new dryer chord. And the original vent was all clogged (a fire waiting to happen) and to short. So another trip to the Home Depot. Luckily due to my awesome handy man skills, I got it all sorted out. And now Stephanie is happy as can be to have a washer and dryer in the home, instead of having to go to the parent's or friend's house. And I was just kidding about the awesome handyman skills.
Anyway we are doing great. Anxiously awaiting little peanut. Soon real soon we will find out if it is a boy or a girl. Well we hope everyone is doing well.

Christmas 08

Here we are holding up a gift we gave each other. Stephanie is holding up a pair of earrings I got her, and I am holding up a brand new snazzy car duster, go figure. We really did have an enjoyable Christmas with the family. Now its back to work, like painting that door behind me.

GINORMOUS FROZEN CUSTARD

Anthrea told us about this place you could go and get frozen custard, and warned us about the sizes. Stephanie did not believe her at the time, but is now a believer. In fact the man who handed her this wonderful custardly frozen goodness treat said it himself, "we do not mess around with portions here."
The pictures don't really do it justice, but for those of you who are going to visit in the near future you will see with your own eyes and enjoy for yourselves the shear beauty of holding a 14" from top to bottom frozen custard extravaganza. There was a sparkle in Stephanie's eyes when the man on the other side of the counter handed her, her very own GINORMOUS waffle cone, with two GINORMOUS scoops of ice cream. It was something magical. OK I know I am being a little cheesy but wow I have never seen two scoops of that magnitude. Now you may say well that looks like three scoops of frozen custard, 1 scoop of almond coconut with chocolate chunks and one scoop of chocolate with another scoop of almond coconut with chocolate chunks therefore making it a total of three scoops. Well your wrong 2+1=2 at this place and you know what that is OK by me as long as they keep piling on that frozen goodness. So Stephanie and peanut enjoyed their frozen treat. I had a malt shake my favorite.
