We had fun celebrating Father's Day.  We got Hector a new grill; he got to open it earlier this week because I could not carry the box by myself.  We did have a BBQ in the evening so we could use the grill for the first time on Father's Day.  The girls made him lots of cute pictures and we hung them in the house.  Hector is such a great dad.  The girls are so lucky to have him.  He makes them laugh and plays with them.  He loves them and cares about what is going in their little lives.  He sets a good example and provides a comfortable life for his girls.  I had the girls do Father's Day questions this year.

Luke's Birthday

We went to Luke's birthday party yesterday; he is two now!  He is such a cute little guy, we were glad that we could celebrate with him.  The girls had fun playing with their cousins, they enjoyed a good Nerf gun war at the end of the party and the pinata was a hit with the three bigger kids.  Estelle and Luke avoided it like the plague, but Eli was really cute trying to get Estelle to swing the bat.  It was a fun afternoon.

Last Day of School

Natalia graduated from Kindergarten on Friday.  She had such an amazing year.  We loved her teachers so much and the school is fantastic.  Natalia made new friends and learned so much; she has really grown up this year, but she is still a fun innocent little girl too.  She was an excellent student.  She worked hard and always made good choices at school.  I am so proud of her.  Mrs. Cashman and Mrs. Ramsey always had the nicest things to say about her.

To celebrate her finishing a year of school, we took Natalia to the book store and let her pick out one book of her choosing; she was so excited.  I think we will make this an end of school year tradition.  Sienna is already looking forward to it.

Flag Day!

Monday was Flag Day at the Elementary School and it was awesome!  Natalia was so excited to sing her songs.  The Kindergarten kids sang this really cute Pledge of Allegiance song.  Natalia had been practicing all weekend and those Kindergarten kids really sang it out.  They sounded so great.  They sang a handful of very patriotic songs; it was very inspirational.  We have a very diverse school.  I would guess that the students have parents who were born in close to 50 different countries yet all those kids belted out songs about the USA and God.  It was awesome!

Tuesday, Natalia had a kindergarten end of year party.  I got to go and help out a little.  It was really fun.  Natalia loved it.  She got her face painted and she thought that was awesome.  It was fun playing with her at school.  She loved having me there.

Today the kids got to go to a talent show at school.  The 5th and 6th grade students performed, while the younger kids watched.  Natalia's teacher told me that Natalia was one of the only kids that didn't know the words to sing along with the popular (and somewhat inappropriate) songs that the older kids were performing to in the talent show.   I love that my little lady is innocent and young and so unaware of pop culture.  It was a nice compliment.

Hector is Awesome.

Kindergarten Program

Natalia's class did a cute little kindergarten program yesterday.  All the kids were so adorable.  They sang and danced to a few songs.  Natalia was really excited and we all got to go and watch.  Natalia did a great job singing.  She even had a special part.

Rachel and Tyler's visit

Rachel and Tyler came for a quick visit last weekend.  They were here for less than 24 hours, but we sure enjoyed them for the short time that we had.  We went out Saturday night and basically ate a heart attack for dinner (fried chicken and bacon on a doughnut) and it was awesome.

We played with the kids Sunday morning and went to church and then they left.  The girls are still talking about how cool Uncle Tyler is.  It was really fun having them and we were so happy that they included us on their fun road trip.

End of Soccer Season

Natalia's first soccer season ended last Saturday.  It was a fun season and we all had so much fun watching Natalia play soccer.  She did a great job.  She worked hard and learned so much.  I am so proud of her.  Her team was great.  They won every game...by a landslide every time.  Natalia scored a couple of goals during the season.  She was really cute to watch.  Hector helped coached and I think they both had fun together.  Her teammates were great, we enjoyed them all.

Jodee's Visit

My friend, Jodee was here last week and it was so much fun having her at our house.  We love having house guests!  Natalia was the only kid who really remembered Jodee and Estelle had never even meet her before, but it did not take all three of them very long to warm up to Jodee.  By the end of the first day they were fighting over who got to sit next to her and they would wait by the window watching for her to come home anytime that she left for something.

Jodee helped us celebrate Natalia's birthday, we played with the girls, went out and had fun.  We talked and stayed up too late every day.  We took Natalia and Sienna to see Cinderella.  They loved the Frozen short at the beginning.  We did a frozen party one night too.  The girls got all dressed up at princesses and then we had frozen snacks (blue jello)  and watched Frozen.  It was really fun.  We were all sad to see Jodee leave, we really did have a great week with her.
