Camping

We got in a camping trip last weekend right before summer ended.  The girls had a great time.  We went with a couple of friends and their kids.  The kids ran around and played for hours.  When it got dark they all put on head lamps and ran and ran around the camp site and then they dug in the dirt; they looked like little miners.  We tried to put everyone down at 10:00pm.  Sienna and Natalia passed out and did great all night.  This was Estelle's first camping trip and first time out of the pack and play.  It did not go well.  She climbed all over us for hours.  Once she finally feel asleep I was so worried about waking her that I slept miserably.  But we made it and all had fun in the morning.

We went for hike in the morning and played some more.  We couldn't stay all day but it was fun having some family time.

Noriegas having fun

We have been having all types of fun lately; I have just not been good about keeping up the blog.  It is volleyball season.  Claire is Estelle's best friend.  They really do love each other.  We don't have a double stroller, but the girls think it is fun to squish into one.

We spent a Sunday afternoon out in West Virginia at Hector's co-workers house.  Sienna loved the jeep and rode it all afternoon.  She really wants one of her own.

Natalia has started reading chapter books.  I have read her lots, but now she is reading them herself and we are so proud of her.

Sienna is turning into a good little helper around the house.  She likes to do things herself without any help.  She takes out the trash can and looks so grown up.

And when we were in West Virginia we did a little bow shooting.  Hector thought I was pretty hot stuff with a bow.

Zoo with Friends

Last week we took a little day trip to the zoo.  We stayed all day because the girls were having so much fun.  It was fun to go with friends; these kids are so cute.  It is always a little difficult for me to go and do fun things while Natalia is in school; I hate for her to miss out on the fun, but I know she is having a good time in school.

Sienna's favorite thing at the zoo was the panda bear and Estelle's favorite was the monkeys and the panda bear.  The moms learned a little more about elephants.

Volleyball Games

The girls love coming to the volleyball games this year.  They even bring their friends sometimes.  Estelle did try to run onto the court one time, but other than that it is really fun to have them at all the home games.

First Day of First Grade

Natalia had her first day of school on Tuesday.  She loves First Grade so far.  Tuesday she came into my room at 6:30 fully dressed, shoes and all and asked if it was time to go to school yet.  It was hard for her to wait two more hours.  I am happy that she is so enthusiastic about going.  Her teacher seems really nice and she has a few friends from her class from last year.  It is nice to be walking to school again every morning.  We miss Natalia, but it is good to get back on a schedule again.

Labor Day Weekend

It was so nice to have a long weekend to celebrate the end of Summer.  We hung out with Hector's Family Friday night at a camp ground.  The kids had fun running around with each other.  Saturday we headed to our Friends' Cabin in West Virginia.  It is so nice having good friends to spend time with.  The kids all had so much fun.  They played farm all weekend.  Basically they shoveled dirt for hours and they thought it was awesome.  They were super dirty, but who cares...we are in West Virginia.  We went to church out there too, which is always an experience.  We double the branch when we go.  Every one is so kind to us and they are so happy to see children at church.  Our ward is always complaining about how noisy it is at church yet every person at the branch commented and how nice it was to hear the noises of the children.  I guess it is all about perspective.

Both Sienna and Natalia thought the Go Carts were fun.

It is so fun seeing kids playing so nicely together.
